This was a great tale！ Basically because it made NO SENSE whatsoever！ The red herrings were all over the place， until Fortune put together the random pieces of stuff。 The trouble is， this is Sinful - Everything is Random！ Hahahahaha！ Gertie。 That’s all I’m saying！ Gertie！ She’s a hoot！ The funniest character in literature！ I listened to the audiobook version of this title。 The narrator is just perfect！ She captures the personalities perfectly！

I love the Miss Fortune series and have read all of the books。 Frightfully Fortune is set at Halloween as was Swamp Spook book 13。 I wondered what Jana DeLeon could do to keep it original but she did！ Fortune Redding is a Private Investigator and her friends and assistants， Ida Belle and Gertie are up to their usual antics。 While they are at the Halowwen Festival， maze， a headless horseman runs through but the body is from a man who died a couple of days before and lands right in front of Swamp I love the Miss Fortune series and have read all of the books。 Frightfully Fortune is set at Halloween as was Swamp Spook book 13。 I wondered what Jana DeLeon could do to keep it original but she did！ Fortune Redding is a Private Investigator and her friends and assistants， Ida Belle and Gertie are up to their usual antics。 While they are at the Halowwen Festival， maze， a headless horseman runs through but the body is from a man who died a couple of days before and lands right in front of Swamp Team 3。 It is a strange situation and it intrigues them。 There are skunks， breaking and entering， and pink glitter！ The characters are likable and interesting， the cozy mystery is well done and intriguing， and there is humor and romance and a lot to love！ The audiobook is well done and the narrator， Cassandra Campbell， is perfect for the voices of all the characters。 So very enjoyable！ 。。。more

Frightfully Fortune by Jana Deleon may be the 20th book in the series but the mystery and Swamp Team 3 are just as fresh， sarcastic and fun as book one。 This was quite an intricate mystery that had very few suspects and enough twists to keep me guessing。 Of course， Gertie provided much of my laughter as she stole the spotlight with her purse （exploding purse with 5 pounds of glitter inside）。 I love this series。

Love that swamp team 3 is up to their usual activities。 The antics are hilarious！ It should be a TV show。 The resolution is a little more convoluted than previous books， but makes sense。 Overall， it was a fun story with a solid story and a satisfying ending。

Not quite as good as previous books。 Seemed like a different book in the series。 The one thing that didn’t make sense was to cut the head off the dead guy。 Could have gotten the attention of the police without it。 Also the culprit would not have cut off the head。 Not in character。
